How to reupholester your old dining chair to french chair

Hi all!

Its been a while! i know, i hv been busy with THIS project
SOOO EXCITED!!
get ur old chair ready, and follow my step
its a economic friendly makeover!

All you need in this tutorial is:
-old chair
-white colour paint (its a MUST! if you plan to do makeover a lot, i already hv one tin at home)
-screw driver (im sure anyone have it at home right!?)
-pilers (or anything you have at home to remove a staple,i used screw driver instead!)
-hammmmmer!
-staple gun (i hvnt got one, and not many ppl i know got one, so i use screws and hammer instead)
-fabric! (your fav fabic to make the seat looks the way you like)
-scissors

lets the show begins..........

Here is my old dining chair, still usable, but outdated!
A very doable chair!

only chipped a bit ;)

step 1: remove the seat by screw driver and put the screw to somewhere "save" lol

and now its the seatless chair

Step 2: normally you are recommended to use sandpaper to remove existing paint, then apply undercoat.
But im too lazy and its a economic friendly makeover, im doing it MY WAY!
minimise the cost and material and still get the same beautiful effect!

Clean the chair thoroughly using damp cloth

Then we can start painting =]
the other reason im not applying undercoat b/c the chair is gona be white colour,
so apply 2 coats of white paint, allow time to dry between coat.
Use undercoat if you are painting your chair to other colour but white =]

The finish look:

i love it !!* mwa

Step 3: mix a tiny bit of white and pink paint together

Step 4: paint it on edges and the curves.
the effect should be random but not deliberate!

Thats for the frame, now move on to the seat =]

Step 5: Remove the old upholstery fabric from the seat using pliers (i used screw driver, and yes, my fingers hurted =[ ) to remove staples. Tetain the piece of fabric and use it as a template to cut a new cover from your fav upholstery fabric.

Step 6: centre the seat face down on your fav fabric. working one edge at a time, fold the edges up and over to the back, placing a staple (i use pin here) parallel to the seat edge inthe middle of each side, i guess its about 2cm in from the edge. stretch and smooth the fabric as you work to achieve a smooth finish!
when you reach the corner, fold the fabric over onedge at a time to make a neat corner and apply stalpes closer together!!

Step 7: now, drop the gorgeous seat back into its cavity!!

do u like it??
i have added some dark colour around edges to make it look aged!

it wud look much better if the pink lace is a bit more pinkish =/
anyways, i now have 2 "brand new" chairs!
plus 1 old chair sitting in the garage waiting for me to renew its life! lol
FUN, FUN, FUN!
thats wat i do at home, so if anybody asks me "how ur weekend?" i wud b like "gr8!"
but sadly not everyone understand how fun it is to DIY, and how great the new product can be!

Peace out!

Flat shoes makeover

Oh here we go again!
here is my another pair of black shoes
but this time its not high heels!
its FLAT!!!!
i bought this shoes becos u can see the material is kinda bling, not too bling, thats y i wana make it more visible and punkylious~~

so lets start, see how I can turn this pair of black shoes to sth special <3 <3

Step 1: I got this butterfly accessory, again its from my old pair of flat shoes.
Its not a normal butterfly, there is 2 pin-shaped thingy that i can stuck them underneath the shoes, so the butterfly can stay strong and stable on my shoes

Step 2: There are 2 layers on this flat shoes, 1st the outer layer is the black material, the 2nd inner layer is that white colour layer!!!cut 2 tiny little holes on the black material only and let the pin-shaped thingy slipped inside, which is now between the black and the white material
**the white bit is kept intact all the way during this procedure, otherwise, ur toes feel the metal pin-shaped thingy**

i didnt even put super glue here, its strong once both of the pin-shaped thingy inside the shoes!!

It will then look this this *Gorgeous*

Step 3: Obviously, my old pair of flat shoes got 1 butterfly on each shoe, but one of the diamond fell off from the other butterfly, so i only got 1 butterfly on my left shoe, so HOW ABOUT THE R) SHOE??
i use bling bling sticker to make it completes the right side, who said the left and the right shoes have to be identical huh?

these white bling blings make the black blingbling material more blingable

A very special, the one and only, pair of flat shoes that you cant get it anywhere!!

You may not have the butterfly that I have to modify your pair of flat shoes
but do recycle your old shoes, use the accessories on the shoes, such as ribbons, buckles etc. to decorate anything, not only shoes!

Be creative, beautify the world

High heels makeover~~*

Here is my plain black high heels
Its not expensive,
i got it on sale
well, i liked it black when i bought it
but then im bored with the plain black
**so woman**

So im gonna change to it a ordinary black peep toes shoes to
PINK BOW-FRONT shoes!

Step 1: bought a piece of material u like,
i bought a pink leopard. Yup! im so WiLd &

Step 2: draw the rounded edge trapezium shape on the paper, then cut the shape on the back of the material

it will look like this

Step 3: now fold and stitch the end at the middle of the trapezium to make a bow shape,
it doesnt mater what colour of the thread you use, cos no one gonna c it~!*shh...

Step 4: ive got this things from my old flat shoes, the i bought in Melbourne.
The shoes is in the bin now lol
but this is the only bit i can save and recyle

Step 5: Place this metal bit on top of the bow with super glue, and it gives u a pretty bow

Step 6: its the last step, pop the bow on the front with super glue again!

*Ta-da*

Step 7: its an extra step for me, cos it still looks so plain,
so ive decided to do sth inside the heels =]

*FINISHED*

ive never worn this high heels..teehee,
they r purely part of my collection and decoration~~*

Well, i hope u enjoy it
and make one for yourself!

!Be creative!
